The Irish Wolfhound Club of America (www.iwclubofamerica.org) has great information on Irish Wolfhounds and their health. Also listed there is the Standard for Ethical Conduct.

Like with any breed, Irish Wolfhounds have particular health problems that responsible breeders are trying to steer away from. Anne Janis has a wonderful website at www.irishwolfhoundstudy.com. She has some great information on health, and is always willing to do a "Risk Analysis" on a perspective breeding. Visit her site for more information.

Always, there is the The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA), found at www.offa.org. Standardized testing allows us to breed away from known problems.
